At the beginning of November, Soluware GmbH from Ravensburg was sold to kessler systems GmbH from Ostrach. At the same time, the Ravensburg-based Schulz Group acquired shares in kessler systems GmbH, thereby becoming an official partner of the company. Following completion of the transaction, Amelie Schulz and Marc Kessler will jointly take over the management of Soluware.

With this realignment of its corporate structure, Soluware is laying the foundation for a strong and future-oriented partnership with kessler systems and the Schulz Group. Together, the companies are pooling their expertise in design, software and hardware development, prototyping, and the production and manufacture of electronic assemblies and devices. This results in integrated solutions and concepts that accompany customers from development to series production.

There is a particular focus on key industries. The joint service portfolio is specifically aimed at companies in industry, agriculture, and the defense and armaments sectors. The focus is also on medium-sized hidden champions who are looking for innovative solutions for digitalization and technological advancement. Through the close integration of software development, electronics manufacturing, and strategic consulting, the partners offer tailor-made complete solutions from a single source – from the initial idea to prototyping and series production. Customers benefit from in-depth industry knowledge, short decision-making processes, and a high degree of technical excellence. The aim is to provide companies with sustainable support in their digital transformation and strengthen their long-term competitiveness.

The combination of expertise will create a strong network that will be able to provide even more comprehensive support to customers in the future. The combination of software development, technological manufacturing expertise, and strategic support from the Schulz Group creates ideal conditions for further growth and innovative product development.

Soluware's Ravensburg location in the Schulz Group building will remain unchanged. All employees will continue to be employed there, so that operations will continue as before and customers can continue to count on familiar contacts and familiar processes in the future.

“With the integration into kessler systems and the partnership with the Schulz Group, we have opened a new chapter,” says Amelie Schulz, Managing Director of Soluware GmbH. “Our combined expertise enables us to implement customer projects even more efficiently and innovatively.”

Marc Kessler, also Managing Director of Soluware GmbH, adds: “Through the close cooperation between Soluware, kessler systems, and the Schulz Group, we can offer the entire development process, from software to hardware, from a single source. This allows us to create real added value and become a full-solution provider for our customers.”

The new corporate structure stands for growth, stability, and technological strength and marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the three companies.

Since opening in 2000, Lindaupark has become one of the most popular shopping and meeting places on Lake Constance. Every year, more than 3.5 million visitors from Lindau, the surrounding region and neighbouring Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein visit the shopping centre. After 25 successful years, Lindaupark is now entering a new era. With an investment volume of over 70 million euros, the shopping centre is being comprehensively modernised, expanded and sustainably redesigned. The aim is to transform Lindau's new centre into a place that uniquely combines shopping, enjoyment, socialising and urban life.

New shopping offerings and a higher quality of stay
After the renovation, the shopping centre will impress not only with its modern architecture and high-quality lounge areas, but also with a greatly expanded range of shops, restaurants and experience areas. The two strong brands Rituals and Snipes will move into the newly designed spaces as early as the beginning of 2026.

In addition, Lindaupark is in promising talks with other renowned anchor tenants who will enrich the centre with their strong brand worlds and thus create an inspiring, diverse and forward-looking shopping experience once construction work is completed in 2027.

This will create a mix of retail, services and restaurants that will enhance the location for both customers and partners alike. Lindaupark Managing Director Michael Schneckenburger emphasises: ‘With the new Lindaupark, we want to create an environment that offers our customers maximum comfort and a diverse shopping experience, while at the same time opening up optimal prospects for our partners.’

A striking entrance for Lindaupark
At the heart of the redesign is the comprehensive modernisation of the façade and main entrance. From the end of 2026, Lindaupark will present itself with an imposing entrance façade that sends a clear architectural signal and at the same time significantly improves the quality of the visitor experience. The new façade will provide an attractive setting for the cafés and restaurants on several levels, create an inviting atmosphere and improve the indoor climate through architectural shading. At the same time, it will enhance the urban design of Berliner Platz. Architect Florian Klee explains: ‘The façade is much more than an architectural statement. It creates an open, inviting atmosphere and at the same time makes an important contribution to the sustainability of the project.’

Convenient shopping – even during the renovation phases
The renovation will take place in individual stages, while Lindaupark remains open throughout. ‘Our top priority is to ensure that our customers can shop in a relaxed atmosphere and that our partners can continue to focus fully on their business,’ says Managing Director Michael Schneckenburger. This means that visitors will be able to experience the modernisation without it affecting their shopping experience.

At the same time, the adjacent Vierlinden quarter is being built. This modern residential and urban development project will create over 400 apartments, a daycare centre and space for retail, offices and commercial use. The quarter will be directly connected to Lindaupark via a direct access route. This will allow residents and visitors to move easily between the quarter and the shopping centre. Michael Schneckenburger adds: ‘With direct access from the Vierlinden quarter to Lindaupark, we are creating a new urban connection. Shopping, living and leisure are merging into a holistic urban experience.’

Modern design and feel-good atmosphere
Much has also been rethought inside Lindaupark. The shopping centre is being given a high-quality, timeless design that focuses on inviting lounge areas, spacious seating areas and warm lighting. While the bright plaza area invites visitors to linger, carefully placed lighting ensures that the individual shops are shown off to their best advantage. The ambience is complemented by modern digital elements, including large-format LED screens, installations in the atrium and impressive centrepieces. Florian Klee adds: ‘With the renovation of Lindaupark, we are creating much more than just a modern shopping centre. We are designing Lindau's new centre to be sustainable, regional and with a high quality of stay.’

Enjoyment and experience with panoramic views
A special highlight of the redesign will be the new panoramic floor: the current car park deck will be completely transformed into modern shopping areas, expanding Lindaupark by more than 7,000 square metres. The existing interior space will be directly connected to this area and comprehensively modernised, creating a harmonious, future-oriented shopping experience on a whole new level.

The heart of this new area is the Foodpark, which will open at the end of 2026. Covering around 1,250 square metres, this unique dining area will feature up to ten exciting vendors combining variety, quality and culinary creativity with an extraordinary ambience. The spacious terrace offers an impressive panoramic view of Lake Constance and the Alps, making the Foodpark a new culinary meeting place with supra-regional appeal.

‘The Foodpark is a central part of our vision for Lindaupark. Here, we combine cuisine, experience and regional identity in a unique way,’ emphasises project manager Stefan Barth.

Family-friendly and experience-oriented
Lindaupark is developing into a place where families of all ages can feel completely at home. As a popular meeting place for locals, visitors from the region and tourists, the centre will in future focus even more strongly on offerings that are specifically tailored to the needs of families.

In addition to a wide range of shopping and dining options, an innovative play and adventure world for children is being created that will be much more than a classic indoor playground. Here, the youngest visitors can give free rein to their curiosity, creativity and love of movement – while their parents relax and enjoy shopping or take a break in the cafés.

Complemented by attractive childcare services, this creates an environment in which families feel safe, welcome and well looked after. This will make a visit to Lindaupark a shared experience that combines shopping, leisure, enjoyment and relaxation into a harmonious whole – with the focus on family quality.

Sustainability as a guiding principle
The renovation is a consistently sustainable project. A new technical centre with geothermal energy and heat recovery, a large-scale photovoltaic system and durable, regional materials reduce energy consumption by more than 50 per cent despite the expansion. A total of 63 deep probes were drilled to a depth of up to 200 metres. Architect Florian Klee emphasises: ‘Sustainability is central to us in every detail. From materials to energy supply, our commitment to creating a sustainable and durable shopping centre is evident.’

Excellent accessibility in the four-country region
In addition to the existing underground car park with 283 parking spaces, the new multi-storey car park with more than 370 parking spaces will be directly connected to all levels of Lindaupark. At the same time, Lindau-Reutin railway station, the future new central bus station, a well-designed guidance system and the proximity to the emerging Vierlinden district ensure optimal accessibility on foot, by bicycle or by public transport. Michael Schneckenburger adds: ‘Good connections and short distances are crucial to ensure that visitors from Lindau and the entire four-country region can reach Lindaupark comfortably.’

Facts and figures at a glance
• Up to 50 shops and restaurants after renovation
• 25,000 m² of space after completion of renovation and expansion work
• 1,250 m² food park with terrace and mountain/lake views
• 10 food park providers
• 700 parking spaces in the multi-storey car park and underground car park
• Investment volume: over €70 million
• Catchment area: around 1.5 million people (up to 45 minutes' drive)

Schedule (subject to change)
• December 2025: Completion of energy-efficient renovation
• May 2026: Completion of modernisation work on existing building – opening of shops on the first floor
• September 2026: Completion of construction work on entrance area
• November 2026: Opening of food court
• December 2026: Completion of construction work on the exterior façade
• April 2027: Grand opening of the new Lindaupark

Another significant milestone in the renovation of the listed Ravensburger Speicherhaus was celebrated today with a traditional topping-out ceremony. Around one and a half years after the ground-breaking ceremony, the real estate company Monvue, part of the Ravensburger Schulz Group, and the city of Ravensburg, together with numerous project participants, are paying tribute to the work carried out so far on the historically significant and challenging construction project in Escher-Wyss-Straße.

A lot has happened since the project was officially launched with the ground-breaking ceremony in December 2023. Various specialist companies spent almost the entire first year working on the expert gutting of the building, which was barely noticeable to the outside observer, and, above all, on the concrete renovation of the first three floors. The work on the supporting structure and foundations posed a considerable challenge to the schedule in some cases – and at the same time demonstrates the high quality and expertise of the specialist planners and companies involved.

Technology meets monument – renovation under special conditions
In particular, the condition of the approximately 100-year-old existing concrete was significantly worse than predicted, and during an 18-month construction phase, 54 column bases (18 of which were double), 54 joists, 200 secondary beams and 280 ceiling panels were repaired, among other things. In the process, 175 tonnes of construction waste were disposed of and 90 tonnes of existing concrete were replaced. The work was challenging and, in some cases, dangerous, as concrete pieces up to 1 m² in size broke off during the ceiling repairs, for example. As a result, almost 180 tree trunks were used to secure the building, and the safety coordinators ensured that, despite the adverse conditions, no personal injuries have occurred to date.

The foundations of the historic building were also unclear at first. No fewer than 30 soundings finally provided the necessary certainty. For two new development cores, a large-scale soil replacement was carried out with a lean concrete layer over 1 metre thick. A total of around 1,000 tonnes of broken concrete was removed from the ground, along with an additional 3,500 tonnes of construction waste from the interior and exterior, using 250 truckloads, and disposed of in accordance with regulations.

To protect against rising damp, almost 1,400 holes were drilled into the outer wall at floor slab level at intervals of 10 cm and sealed with 4,500 kg of cavity filler and 2,000 litres of injection material. This was a task that required the utmost precision.

Around 13 tonnes of wood were professionally dismantled from the historic roof truss. Around 90% of the original components, including purlins, posts and rafters, were preserved. In addition, around 165 new wooden elements have been added and each rafter has been lashed down. For the renovation of the half-timbered walls, large parts of the infill had to be removed. The old half-timbered bricks were removed, cleaned and almost completely re-walled into the half-timbering. This was a highly complex task, but one that was appropriate for a listed building.

As could then be seen from the outside, in addition to the self-supporting façade scaffolding above the southern front building, a free-standing working scaffold was erected at a height of 17 metres for the work on the building, supported by two 22-metre-long steel girders. This complex measure was necessary because the historic roof could not be used as a support due to its lack of load-bearing capacity.

With the help of deformation-compatible measurements, it was determined that the storage building had tilted approximately 30 cm from northeast to southwest due to historical settlement. All new floor structures therefore had to follow this inclination in order to ensure future use. To ensure the correct height, over 150 metre marks were set.

In the meantime, work has also begun on renovating the windows. Fifty-one windows from the original construction period are being renovated in accordance with conservation guidelines, while a further 132 windows are being rebuilt based on plans faithful to the originals and fitted into the existing building.

At the peak of construction, up to 30 skilled workers from a wide range of trades were working simultaneously on the construction site – a logistical feat due to the condition of the building, which was made possible by the high level of motivation of the contracted companies and specialist planners.

Client and future tenant satisfied with progress to date
Sven Schulz, sole shareholder of the real estate company Monvue, is satisfied: ‘What has been achieved here since the beginning of 2024 is remarkable. The combination of historical respect, structural substance and modern requirements is a great challenge – but also a great opportunity for Ravensburg. I would like to thank all the craftsmen, planners and partners for their commitment and hope that we can maintain this impressive positive momentum until completion in October 2026.’

Mayor Dr. Daniel Rapp adds: ‘The Speicherhaus is a key project for Ravensburg – historically, functionally and architecturally. Today's celebration is a clear sign that, despite all the challenges, the work here is being carried out to the highest standards. Our employees can already look forward to modern and attractive workplaces.’

Next steps
With the successful completion of the roof work, the installation of the new stairwells and lift cores can now begin. This will be followed by the interior construction phase. In addition to the technical building equipment, the floor structures will be constructed and the façade and outdoor facilities will be finalised. Completion has been delayed by six months due to the complex renovation of the existing building and is now scheduled for October 2026.

The renovated building will then serve as a modern workplace for up to 200 city administration employees. With around 5,600 square metres of space, new, energy-efficient working environments will be created in accordance with the DNGB Gold Standard, complemented by potential catering facilities on the ground floor.

The acquisition of FoxEducation strengthens Sdui’s position servicing over 22,000 schools and preschools in Europe. The company also raised a further 21 million euros from new and existing investors. New investor Summiteer and existing investor HV Capital leads the new financing round.

Sdui Group („Sdui“), one of the leading providers of education technology in Europe, today announced that it has acquired digital education solutions provider FoxEducation with its brands SchoolFox, KidsFox and TeamFox. Fox Education Services was previously owned by leading tutoring provider and EdTech platform, GoStudent.

At the same time, Sdui has raised a further 21 million euros from investors. Summiteer and HV Capital are leading the new financing round with broad support by new and existing investors – including Haniel, Brighteye, Michael Hinderer and HTGF. With the 25 million euros from the first financing round (Series A), the EdTech provider now has a total of 46 million euros available for investment. The company is investing part of this sum in the acquisition of FoxEducation.

The acquisition of FoxEducation will establish Sdui Group as the market-leading EdTech provider in the field of communication and messaging for schools and preschools in German-speaking countries. The company is active in all three countries of the DACH market with a broad product portfolio. Following the acquisition of FoxEducation, Sdui Group serves over 22,000 organizations across Europe.

Similar to Sdui, FoxEducation also offers transformative solutions to improve communication between teachers, educators, students and parents. In the future, Sdui and FoxEducation will combine their expertise to make their products even better. Both companies also expect this to lead to stronger growth. FoxEducation already has three successful years behind it: the education platform was acquired by GoStudent in September 2021 and grew over 70% under the company’s management.

While FoxEducation’s growth represents a significant achievement for GoStudent, its unique capabilities have followed a different trajectory to GoStudent’s core offering: personalised tutoring. For this reason, GoStudent has established fewer immediate synergies with FoxEducation as it has its wider portfolio: TusMedia, Seneca and Studienkreis. Committed to driving education forward through the application of technology, GoStudent’s sale of FoxEducation to Sdui Group is a strategic move, aimed at enhancing communication between schools, parents and students, and strengthening the DACH EdTech ecosystem for the better.

„The acquisition of FoxEducation is an important strategic step that significantly strengthens the Sdui Group’s presence in the DACH region,“ says Daniel Zacharias, founder and CEO of the Sdui Group. „With a growing, holistic product offering, this exciting acquisition will enable Sdui to better serve educational institutions in the German-speaking region and consolidate our position as the largest digitalisation partner for educational institutions in Europe. With a total of 46 million euros, we can continue to invest in pioneering education technology.“

„The acquisition of FoxEducation by the Sdui Group is a significant win for our customers,“ says Philipp Fendt, Co-CEO of FoxEducation. „We look forward to joining forces to further improve everyday life in schools and preschools. Our combined expertise will create an even stronger foundation for innovative educational solutions. This partnership will ensure that our customers receive the best possible tools for their educational needs. By combining our resources, we aim to provide a more comprehensive and effective solution that will benefit students, teachers and parents alike.“

“The sale of FoxEducation to the Sdui Group is a strategic move that aims to amplify FoxEducation’s value and impact, aligned to our goal of enhancing education through technology. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved with FoxEducation, and excited to see how the company will evolve under Sdui’s stewardship”, says Felix Ohswald, co-founder and CEO of GoStudent. “Looking ahead, we will continue to harness technology to unlock student potential. This sale empowers us to focus on enhancing our AI-powered classroom, which has supported over 6 million hours of lessons in 2024, at a more rapid pace.“

Sdui Group plans to use the new funding to further invest in its platforms to make everyday life in schools and preschools even simpler.

About the Sdui Group
Since its foundation in Koblenz in 2018, the Sdui Group has developed into one of the fastest growing education technology companies in Europe. As a reliable partner, the EdTech provider supports educational institutions, providers and ministries in digitalisation and develops innovative operating systems for digital schools and preschools.

The aim of the platform is to connect teachers, educators, parents and children through intelligent functions. The Sdui Group’s solutions reduce the administrative burden, freeing up time for the organisations‘ main task: to provide the best possible education. To this end, the Sdui Group offers GDPR-compliant solutions with features such as chat, translation functions, cloud, class register or AI lesson planners that are specifically tailored to the needs of schools and preschools.

The Sdui Group also includes the administration and management platform PUPIL and the learning and grade management offering Additio. The company is based in Koblenz and currently employs around 230 people. It is active in more than 70 countries. Following the acquisition of FoxEducation, a total of 22,000 educational institutions use services offered by the Sdui Group.
Further information: https://sdui.de/

About FoxEducation
Founded in Vienna in 2016, FoxEducation offers digital solutions to simplify communication and administrative tasks in the education sector. In addition to the SchoolFox app for schools, the company later introduced the KidsFox platforms for preschools and kindergartens, as well as TeamFox for clubs. Today, over 9,000 institutions in the DACH region use the FoxApps. In the summer of 2021, FoxEducation became part of the Austrian company GoStudent, and the apps have since been continuously developed – including the innovative payment management tool FoxPay. Since July 2024, FoxEducation has been part of the Sdui Group. (As of July 2024)
Further information: www.foxeducation.com

About GoStudent
GoStudent is one of the world’s leading providers of tutoring and education platforms. The company was founded in Vienna in 2016 by Felix Ohswald (CEO) and Gregor Müller (COO) and has already raised more than 675 million euros from investors such as Prosus, Left Lane Capital and SoftBank Vision Fund 2. GoStudent believes that the future of education is hybrid and has expanded its offering with the acquisition of Seneca Learning, Tus Media and offline tutoring company Studienkreis. Together, these companies aim to combine the best of the online and offline worlds to realise the potential of every child. With its entire portfolio, GoStudent supports 10 million families every month.
Learn more here: www.gostudent.org

A subsidiary of Ravensburg-based Monvue Holding GmbH, the real estate investment arm of the Ravensburg-based Schulz Group, acquired 100% of the Lindaupark property from Feneberg Grundstücksgesellschaft GmbH & Co KG at the end of February as part of an asset deal.

Monvue has thus expanded its real estate portfolio, which consists mainly of commercial, retail and residential properties in the Lake Constance/Upper Swabia region, with another attractive property that is particularly well known in the eastern Lake Constance area. Covering almost 20,000 square meters, Lindaupark offers customers from the entire four-country Lake Constance region a wide variety of shopping opportunities in a highly attractive location in terms of infrastructure.

Lindaupark, which has been successfully managed and developed by the previous owners since it opened in 2000, will continue to be developed as planned under the new owner. As part of this, the property will initially be refurbished and modernized until the end of 2025.

The management and administration of the property will continue to be the responsibility of Schneckenburger OPM GmbH and its Managing Director Michael Schneckenburger, who has played a key role in the development of Lindaupark together with the previous owner for many years. In this context, Monvue sees itself as a long-term investor with the aim of enabling the Lindaupark to develop in a future-oriented manner so that customers in the eastern four-country region of Lake Constance will have even more attractive shopping and experience opportunities.

The acquisition is subject to the city of Lindau not exercising its right of first refusal.

encentive, a pioneering start-up in the field of AI-based energy optimization for industrial applications, has successfully raised 2.7 million euros in its current seed investment round. The round was led by Summiteer – the investment company of serial entrepreneur and e-mobility pioneer Sven Schulz, which has already invested in Enpal and neoom, among others. Further investors include Vireo Ventures, Smart Infrastructure Ventures, Interface Capital (the investment company of Blinkist founder Niklas Jansen and Wunderlist founder Christian Reber) and OMA Ventures (the investment company of the Proglove founders). encentive receives additional support from renowned business angels, such as the Enerparc founders around Stefan Müller and football player & investor Mario Götze, as well as existing investors. As renewable energy generation is expanded, the investors are backing a technology that is urgently needed by industrial companies, enabling them to react intelligently to increasing fluctuations in energy prices and availability.

Since its inception at the end of 2020, encentive has focused on the intelligent control and flexibilization of energy consumption into clean & cheap time periods with an abundant supply of renewable energy. At the heart of the technology is the AI-based software platform flexOn, which is integrated into the existing infrastructure of industrial customers and serves as a central operating system for intelligent energy management. flexOn already enables savings of around 20% and a significant, measurable reduction in CO2 through AI-driven analysis and automation.

encentive has already successfully demonstrated the use of its solution in the food industry and refrigerated logistics. Customers include large corporate groups such as the Wernsing Food Family and Ornua or well-known logistics companies, which are able to operate their refrigerated warehouses as dynamic energy storage facilities using the encentive solution. The ongoing electrification of industry, particularly in the heating and mobility sectors, means that encentive’s customers will be able to benefit even more from this powerful technology in the future.

The company began by optimizing industrial cooling and heating processes. The range has since been expanded to include other controllable systems and industrial processes. With the new capital, encentive plans to further roll out its software platform and reach more customer groups, as well as extend their interface into the energy system.

Torge Lahrsen, co-founder and Managing Director, emphasizes the need to align energy consumption with renewable energy production in the course of the decarbonization of industry. „Our vision is the complete decarbonization of industry. We provide our industrial customers with a holistic solution that aligns all relevant energy flows bidirectionally with the availability of renewable energy locally at their own site and in the markets. We are thus defining a new way for industry to consume energy transparently, predictably and independently.“

„Many companies possess a wide range of energy buffer and storage options which enable them to compensate and utilize fluctuations in renewable energy generation to their advantage. encentive harnesses this potential in a simple and modular way without interfering with companies‘ existing processes. In this way, industrial customers save a lot of money and help to integrate more renewable energy into our energy system. That’s what convinced us in the end,“ says Dominik Bär, Partner at Summiteer.

Matthias Engel, Partner at Vireo Ventures, adds: „In the future, we will have to consume energy primarily when it is available from renewable sources. Energy flexibilization is a key component for a successful energy transition. encentive provides an impressive technology for industrial energy management and is far ahead of other solutions.“

„This investment round marks a significant milestone for encentive,“ comments Daniel Ehnes, also Co-Founder and Managing Director of encentive. „We are now in a position to make our outstanding software and solution available to a wider range of industrial customers and thus significantly advance the energy transition. We are grateful for the support of our valued investors who have truly understood the importance of the industrial energy transition. We look forward to the developments ahead.“

encentive is a company from Schleswig-Holstein and provides a solution that reduces energy costs and emissions in industry. The company uses AI-based data analysis and automation to shift the electricity consumption of existing infrastructure into clean & cheap time periods with an abundant supply of renewable energy. The core element is the software flexOn, which acts as an intelligent control system, coordinating energy flows bidirectionally with the availability of renewable energy production locally at its own site and within the markets, using existing infrastructure, flexible loads and energy storage potential across all sectors.
